How to move pics from your phone to your computer?

Ok so I took some pics on my phone and I was wondering if there was a way to move them over to my computer. I tried plugging the charger in to my computer but nothing happened. Any ideas?
BTW I have a Verizon Samsung Intensity 2 phone and a Samsung computer.

Try USB cables. USB 2.0 is preferable and is a universal standard in USB-port technology.
