The Apple Watch 2 might be just around the corner, as reports suggest that trial production on the device is about to begin.
Citing sources in China, G For Games reports that the second-generation wearable is hitting the production line this month ahead of an April release.
Quanta, the company that manufactured the original Apple Watch, is expected to handle the development of its sequel.
Additional manufacturing partners, including Foxconn, Inventec and Wistron, may also be brought in to speed up the process.
The latest leaks suggest that the Apple Watch 2 will include a dedicated FaceTime camera, a WiFi chip, and improved health and fitness apps.
Previous reports have tipped the Apple Watch 2 to launch in the second quarter of 2016, but Apple is yet to so much as announce the device.
